Biography
Duna Eva is a modern and contemporary artist based in Madrid, Spain. She is entirely self-taught. Eugenia Dunaeva (artist's real name) works primarily with acrylics on canvas, using tools like palette knives, airbrushes, and wax chalk to create textured, almost three-dimentional compositions.
Her process is emotional and deeply personal, often inspired by emotions, impressions from her global travels, and the energy of young entrepreneurs and startups that she works with in her daily life.
Eugenia studied International Business, got her MBA degree in the UK, speaks 5 languages and has lived in 6 countries. She held executive positions in Big Tech companies like Expedia Group and Meta, and now is a venture capitalist for a San Francisco-based venture fund.
Eugenia, under the pseudonyme of Duna Eva, embraced painting back in 2021 not just as a personal outlet but as a way to share her unique vision with the world. Color is central to her work, serving as a foundation to translate her emotions into bold, dynamic pieces. Her art explores themes of light emerging through darkness, energy bursting through stillness, and the vibrant beauty of nature.
Eugenia's goal is to create art that evokes joy, empowerment, and a sense of connection, bringing vitality into the living places. With plans to develop cohesive series and expand her artistic portfolio, she started displaying and selling her art in 2025 online and offline.
