Biography
Olga Dmytrenko was born in Ukraine. Dmytrenko's love for visual arts and science was cultivated at a young age – her father used to paint in a realistic style, and her mother, being mathematician, gave her passion to the science. After graduating from the Republican Physical-Mathematical School at Kiev State University, Olga Dmytrenko entered the Department of Physics at Kiev State University and, in 1986, got her M.S. In 1990, she got Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the Institute of Surface Chemistry of Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences. She currently lives and works in Delaware, USA. Dmytrenko is an author of more than 45 scientific peer-reviewed publications in the internationally recognized journals; for many of them she serves as a referee.

Artist Statement
The abstract forms that constitute my works resemble some objects or natural phenomena, sometimes the features of faces. Mostly, I try to transfer my emotions, thoughts and mood through colors and shapes. Painting itself provides me a great emotional relaxation.
