Born on 25.07.1954 in the city of Popovo. 1981 – Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sofia, Department of Painting, first-class of prof. Svetlin Roussev.

Cholakov’s works are in the possession of public and private collections in Bulgaria and all over Europe. The artist works in the field of oil painting and watercolors.
