“Cubismo no es de forma, sino una estética, e incluso un estado de ánimo, por lo que es inevitablemente que esté conectado con cada manifestación del pensamiento contemporáneo. Es posible inventar una técnica, pero no se puede inventar toda la complejidad de un estado de ánimo”

David Go is a contemporary Spanish sculptor. He pursued his studies in Fine Arts at the University of Murcia (Spain) and further specialized in the art of marble carving at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara (Italy). During his artistic journey, he had the privilege of working alongside and learning from esteemed sculptors such as Antonio Soler and Eva Pina.
Initially, he personally handpicked marble blocks from the quarry, seeking out the unique characteristics of each stone. To achieve both physical and conceptual deconstruction, he commenced working directly on the stone block, without the aid of a model. While guided by a discernible figuration, he remained driven by the aspiration to evoke an objective representation. Through a process of sketching and surrendering to the stone, he gradually unveiled the definitive form, rescuing it through a figurative discourse.
