Einzigartiges Originalkunstwerk auf Baumwolle!

-----Irrgarten, 40,5 x 60 cm, Pigmenttusche und Farbserigrafie auf Baumwolle, 2019-----
Zusätzlich zu den Webereien ist mir seit dem Jahr 2009 eine weitere Technik ans Herz gewachsen. Ich stelle mir aus antiken zumeist weißen Baumwolltüchern eigene Bildträger her, indem ich den Stoff zuerst mit einer Emulsion härte und ihn nach dem Trocknen in gängige Bildformate schneide. Danach bedrucke ich die so gewonnene Fläche mit Hilfe der Serigrafie so oft, bis ein für mich sinnlicher Untergrund entsteht, der mich zum Arbeiten mit meinen Tuschen einlädt.Vor allem in den langen Wintermonaten, in denen es in meinem unbeheizten Webzimmer zu kalt ist, kommt diese Technik bei mir zum Einsatz. Und es ist auch ein wunderbarer Ausgleich zum Webprozess.

Watercolor

Watercolor is a painting in which gum arabic binds transparent pigments revealing the support of the painting. The gouache, of identical composition, is opaque. A watercolor is a water-based painting on paper. We rarely speak of a painting for a work painted in watercolor. Watercolor paintings are considered to be a unique way to creatively represent dreams, illusions, emotions and luminous feelings using water soluble pigments. However, painting with watercolors can be difficult. It's a difficult medium to master, in large part because it can be ruthless and unpredictable. Mistakes are difficult to correct and its fluid nature makes it difficult to control. Yet it is these very qualities that give the medium its undeniable charm.

Surrealism

Founded in 1923 by the writer André Breton, it will unite many artists like Salvador Dali (1904-1989), Max Ernst, René Magritte (1898-1967), Victor Brauner (1903-1966). Influenced by psychoanalysis, they see psychic life as a new field for renewing the arts. They will develop new ways to create and use new materials.

Technic Textile Art

Textile arts refer to the forms of art and crafts that use industrial or animal fabrics, or man-made or natural fibers to construct practical or decorative and artistic objects. Textile arts include manufacturing methods such as weaving for fabric, or spinning for wool, cotton, or man-made fibers; techniques for transforming these materials, such as sewing for fabrics (with more artistic forms such as patchwork or quilting), knitting, crochet, braiding or knotting for threads. There are also methods of embellishing or modifying manufactured textiles, such as embroidery, dyeing or applying lace.
