Basquiat first achieved fame as part of SAMO, an informal graffiti duo who wrote enigmatic epigrams in the cultural hotbed of the Lower East Side of Manhattan during the late 1970s, where rap, punk, and street art coalesced into early hip-hop music culture.
By the 1980s, his neo-expressionist paintings were being exhibited in galleries and museums internationally. The Whitney Museum of American Art held a retrospective of his art in 1992.

My name is Alina Dalinin! And I did not immediately become an artist. I devoted 9 years of my professional activity to jurisprudence. I was a good lawyer, headed the legal department of several regions of my bank! However, my work did not bring me happiness and inner content! Everything changed when I met my second husband and gave birth to a son and daughter of the weather. I started to draw. I studied hard and fast in order to achieve mastery of oil painting. While my little children were sleeping, every night I sat for hours at the easel and trained in painting. Two years later, I opened my art studio in my native city of Zhitomir. My studio is 5 years old this year. More than a thousand students have already studied at my studio. I became a truly happy person, because I have the opportunity to do what I love every day and teach my students that! Next year I order the Kharkov Academy of Design and Arts and I will become a certified painter. I already have about 10 personal exhibitions and even more collective exhibitions in Ukraine and Spain. I also took part in the All-Ukrainian exhibition of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. I adore my work and continue to have a strong passion for drawing, although I have been living for more than 10 years. I work in different styles such as: naive art, interior contemporary painting, pop art portrait.
Alina Dalinina, born February 17, 1981, has been professionally engaged in artistic activities for more than 12 years!
I have four higher educations: 1. Master of the Ivan Frank State Pedagogical University, specialty teacher of mathematics and physics and astronomy 2. Bachelor of the College of Business and Law with a degree in law 3. Master of the State Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with a degree in law 4. Bachelor of Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts majoring in easel painting
One of the most important events in my professional activity was the opening of my art studio, where I teach both adults and children oil painting. My studio became one of the first private schools in the city. It is very popular and brings me inexhaustible pleasure. In 2019, the head of our city handed me the title of Honorary Ambassador of the Zhytomyr Region for my artistic work and cultural development of the region
