Claudia König is a contemporary German artist. In her depictions of the inner and outward lives of people, dreams and reality coexist. There is room for the viewer to add their own perceptions and narrative. In her works, imagination, desires, dreams, and longings, as well as dreamscapes and fantastical realms, take flight.
König creates character qualities in her sculptures that each of us, depending on the circumstances, externalizes and displays; the needs and longings, however, remain concealed, and we are typically unaware of them. Most of her sculptures are simple, graceful, and pure, restrained in the way they are presented.
Claudia König was born in 1964, in Germany, where she graduated from the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences, Department of Design. She exhibited her works in Germany and France.
