Born in Tarn, her creations imbued with figurative scenes resonate with the characters of Fernand Léger. It is this same universe that Clara Castagné depicts, on geographical or anatomical school maps which cultivated our minds during childhood.
Her main themes are family scenes, mythology, human body. Her characters, with roundness reminiscent of the silhouettes of modern artists, Léger, Matisse, Picasso, take and give life to geographical maps or anatomical plates.
Clara forms beautiful artistic friendships with the painters Cristof Yvoré , Christophe Curien, Michel Lablais, and above all very quickly freed himself from academic codes as well as from the movement: "Support Surface" very fashionable at the time at the Beaux-Arts in Nîmes.
His figurative work at ink shows us facets of “human interiority.” Like an adventure in itself, Clara devotes her life to design and painting.
