Born and living in Marseille, Christine Barone has felt the need to create since a very young age.
Self-taught and full of curiosity, she cannot fit into a box, limit herself to a single style. So she experiments, tries, attempts, fails, renews, sees what can best express what she has in her guts.
In the background there is the valorization. Of each one of us. Different and unique, with our wounds, our more or less difficult life paths, the things we put aside to fit into the mold of our standardized society. Through her works, Christine takes a benevolent look at all of this and invites us to do the same, for ourselves and for others.
But her vision of the world is global. So yes, there is also this nature prey to pollution that it cannot leave aside because everything is connected. Christine also invites us to question ourselves about all this plastic that invades our daily lives.
‘After all, isn’t art there to invent a new world?’
