Christelle Rossi Ligouzat, known as Chris Rossi, was born in 1989 and lives and works in France. Passionate about the world of art, she has been drawing and painting for many years as an amateur self-taught artist. In December 2022, she took the plunge and became a professional artist.
Her favorite subject is the animal world, which she strives to represent with remarkable fidelity. Through his works, Chris Rossi seeks to capture the beauty of the animal kingdom, paying particular attention to looks, atmospheres, postures and emotions. His work also aims to raise public awareness of the climate emergency and the necessary awareness regarding the mass extinction of animal species. Using a variety of techniques ranging from pure drawing to painting, charcoal and graphite, Chris Rossi explores different mediums to enrich his animal figurative style. Charcoal, in particular, allows her to create works with a chiaroscuro atmosphere that she particularly likes.
Among her influences, she cites Rosa Bonheur, Géricault and Caravaggio, masters whose work continues to fuel her passion and inspire her artistic approach. As an artist, Chris Rossi aspires to raise awareness while celebrating the splendor and complexity of the animal world through his creations.
