Carolyn Mielke – Art as a Life's Work

Carolyn Mielke, born in East Germany in 1983, is a freelance artist and graphic designer who works under the name carographic . Her works are characterized by powerful colors, emotional expressiveness and an unmistakable style that lies between pop art, portrait art and expressive painting. She has been working independently as an artist and graphic designer since 2011 and combines aesthetics with personal interpretation in her work.

Artistic Career and Exhibitions

Carolyn's artistic career began with a design education at the Academy for Information and Communication Design in Dresden. Her creative journey took her through various positions in the graphics industry to her independent artistic work, in which she increasingly focused on the depiction of emotions in colorful portraits. For over a decade she has presented her art in solo and group exhibitions as well as at renowned art fairs.

In recent years, her works have been represented both physically and digitally on international art platforms. The most important venues include:

2025: Exhibition of eight works in the Kunsthaus Hage gallery on the North Sea and participation in the Luxembourg art fair (art3f Luxembourg - Art Expo The Box) with four works. 2024: Participation in various exhibitions, including the Kunsthalle Lausitz in Cottbus with the exhibition "Unity in Diversity" , an own exhibition stand at the "Neue ArT" in Dresden , as well as digital presentations at the Art Expo Swiss (Zurich) and the Art Expo Paris (Galerie Agnes Nord) . 2023: Participation in the Art Expo Miami and publication in renowned art magazines such as ARTISTCLOSEUP #11 and The Holy Art Magazine . Carolyn was also named Acrylic Artist of the Year (Germany) . Since 2023: Participation in an ongoing traveling exhibition with large-format flag banners for the light artist Jörn Hanitzsch , which can be seen in cities such as Dresden, Cottbus, Augsburg and Lübbenau. 2022: Solo exhibition in the pop-up gallery DB ICE4 RAW Cottbus and award as Most Innovative Acrylic Artist (Germany) in Business . Previous exhibitions: Several solo exhibitions, including in the Vinothek Weinfreundin (2021), in the Esscobar Cottbus (2020 & 2019) as well as numerous group exhibitions in Lusatia and beyond.
