My thematic inspiration is essentially discursive and musical: ... I want to paint the music, poems and stories that I love: the rain in Macondo with Gabriel Garcia Marquez, tales of love, madness and death with Horacio Quiroga, the madness of Don Quixote, tango, the poetry of Silvio Rodriguez, a few walks on the other side of the looking glass…
My graphic inspiration comes almost entirely from my experiences with pareidolia: a cloud, a stain on the floor or on the wall, the fold of a sheet or the velvets on the foam of my coffee... and I see the head of the character of 'a poem...or the landscape of a song...I was born in Uruguay. In Paris, during my studies - late 80s, early 90s - I was a student of two renowned Spanish painters: Regino Pradillo Lozano and Maria José del Moral y Mora. Thanks to her I won a first and third Kandinsky prize (competition organized by “Agregaduría Cultural Española”)
