Carole Swindall Poole was born in Opelika, Alabama. She grew up in a family of artists and musicians, so it is perfectly fitting that she has chosen art as her profession. She majored in Art Education at Auburn University, and received her BS degree in 1972. Her favorite medium is watercolor and she has been juried into many watercolor exhibitions and won numerous awards throughout her career. She is a Signature member of the Georgia Watercolor Society and is listed in Whos Who of American Women Artists. Over the years, Carole has worked in graphic design and taught art in a number of venues. She is well-known as a tile painter and designer and has graced the halls of many Georgia schools with colorful wall murals. Carole currently shows her work at the Atlanta Artists Center in Buckhead.
