Carlo Salomoni is a contemporary Italian artist known for his mixed media and acrylic paintings on various surfaces including canvas, wood, paper, and terracotta. His artistic repertoire also includes china drawings, inks, colored pencils, and graphite on paper. Salomoni's work is deeply rooted in metaphysical themes, surrealism, fantasy art, and magic realism, creating evocative pieces that blend reality and fantasy into dreamlike worlds.
Born in Ferrara, Italy, in 1956, Salomoni graduated from medical school with a degree in general surgery. However, in 1991, he decided to leave the medical field to pursue his passion for art, becoming a professional and self-taught painter. Over the years, he has exhibited his works in Italy, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and the USA.
Salomoni enjoys creating cycles of different works to ensure the uniqueness of each piece. As an independent artist, he has managed to captivate a global audience, with his paintings being part of private collections in Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Luxembourg, Germany, the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, and Mexico.
