Non ricordo... Mi rendo conto di dimenticare in fretta determinati particolari del mio passato, sia esso remoto o prossimo, invece, alcune cose mi si fissano in mente e non riesco più a scordarle. Punta bene la fronte. Vorrei invece riuscire ad eliminarle, sebbene sappia non essere la soluzione più idonea. Ci vuole metodo e in questo caso l' opzione necessaria è l' autoanalisi. Ora sei andato al di là. Sono cosciente di aver esagerato e di aver dialogato con zone della mia mente che prima d' ora avevano taciuto, ma del resto ognuno prima o dopo si trova davanti alla realtà dei fatti. A singolar tenzone sto infatti ancora combattendo contro me stesso. Bene, provvedi ad allargarlo. Non è facile, anzi è doloroso. Ogni volta che ricordo tali eventi mi sale una pseudo-depressione che mi accompagna fino sul patibolo, lasciandomi curvo e solo come un cane. Ma come posso fare? Per mia fortuna l' esperienza insegna, e quindi riesco a vedere in me stesso gli altri. Un leitmotiv suonato ciclicamente nella camera del mio sconcerto e che riesce a darmi la giusta visione del tutto, anche grazie all' armonizzazione degli strumenti dell' essere. Ingegnati, la testa ce l' hai. Nelle occasioni in cui riesco a sfiorare la gioia, vedo in me e negli altri la stessa poesia, versi che in rima alternata mantengono elevato il tono della vita. Una volta lacerata al massimo, una ferita tende a cicatrizzarsi, pertanto la necessità è fermarsi e rivalutarsi. Stop e rifletti.
Nicola Bettale was born in Schio (I) in 1978 where he currently lives and works. He has started to be involved in photography in 2005 and since the beginning has set out on a way of conceptual and expressive search through which he subjectively inquires into collective aspects of contemporary society. As from 2006 the young author has been taking part at solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Here are some among the most important ones: Liquid Paths by the Bevilacqua La Masa foundation (Venice), From Academy to Furnace by the Furnace foundation (Asolo) and Camino al Bicentenario 1810-2010 - Pylares y Paracciones by the Presidencia de la Nacion (Buenos Aires, Argentina). Center/Suburbs. New Creativities in Rome by Federculture office and the Dance of unknown people by Pho-to'35 gallery (Turin). In 2007 he reaches the first prize at the Center/Suburbs international contest for young artists, organized by Federculture (Rome) and he was one of the five selected photographers at Arte Prize 2007. His artworks have been published on many Art specialized magazines as Young Blood 2007, Zoom magazine and Arte. In october 2009 Bettale conceives and realizes together with “Le momo Electronique” group the “Schio Glocal Digital Fest” – biennal Show of Digital Contemporary Art. The event combines international masters as Nam June Paik, Robert Cahen, Woody e Steina Vasulka, Studio Azzurro, Mario Sasso, Fabrizio Plessi and emerging and very young artists.
