Bernard Geoffroy is a contemporary French sculptor. His journey began with solitary hikes, veering off the well-trodden path to collect fragments of deceased wood. Further fueled by curiosity, exploration of less frequented areas unveiled the unexpected beauty of Phoenician junipers—remarkable wood that evolves into mesmerizing and convoluted forms when nurtured by the extremities of nature, yet appears ordinary within the forest. He strives to accentuate their distinctive contortions, in harmony with nature's ingenuity.
Additionally, the artist manipulates cade juniper stumps, driftwood, weathered iron, and a diverse array of other species. Since 2014, he has presented this unique artistic endeavor at art fairs such as SIAC Marseille and ART3F in Marseille, Annecy, Lyon, and Toulouse. His work has also been featured in both collective and solo exhibitions, predominantly in the southeastern region.
