Born in Algeria on September 27, 1942, Globe-Trotter, the Franco-American artist Bernard Emmanuel Bénéito will draw his inspiration from his many travels, music, people in general and women in particular, but above all life, light, rhythm. Combining structured figuration with colorful abstraction, the Master has developed a personal and universal expression that seduces with its energy, its sensitivity, its warm humanity. The work whose narrative symbolism appears at first glance in its form and its hierarchical echoes of colors then becomes music.
Between emotion and the freedom of time, the work evokes a revealing and descriptive psychology of the ordered, disordered expression, in all the fluctuations of the impression. The music like the dance imbued with intoxication, transcends the visible hidden in the mystery of a body and whose breath the artist brings back shot by shot the lyrical blossoming of the movement of expression. real feeling is perpetuated and deepened in the roughness of shapes and colors. Bénéïto in front of the age of time probes the essence of this time intended to seduce the secret of the gesture, the grace of the line, the suspended hour of existence where the authenticity of emotion is affirmed.

Bénéito only uses knife oil (1993) on canvas
I was born an artist and I took refuge in dreams, in the showcase of art. From the age of fifteen, I decided to orient myself towards the Fine Arts in Algiers but my mother unfortunately prevented me from doing so by telling me to have a job, a real one...I was a Teacher/Prof of Schools in Algeria, France, Morocco, Germany, Guyana, St Martin, San Francisco, my students were delighted to share this dream with me. When I was retired from National Education, I settled in California and Louisiana, creating art schools for children from 6 years old, teenagers and adults. Success for 17 years.
I turned to oil in 1986 in Tübingen (FRG) and produced work on the landscapes and people of North Africa. Teaching in Morocco from 79 to 85 allowed me to see my native country again during a trip to Algeria. In fact it was the spark that launched me into the production of an immeasurable body of work. The exhibitions started as soon as I felt ready for 1990 in Berlin and the rest followed by sales, prizes, meetings...
