He began experimental studies in AvantGarde Surrealist Music in 1986 using electronic instruments and winds (Flute, guitar, piano, drums, saxophone (Tenor and Alto), etc., and MusicSureal was an accepted entry in the 'International Wah (Williamsburg Art and Historical Museum), 2004Show (Society for the Art of Imagination)BraveDestiny, Brooklyn, NY.
Private collections are numerous and his pen and ink illustrations appeared in and on the cover of TW/UK literary issue #4 in 1995. His poem 'The Foturne Tellers'was accepted in the Library of Congress (The Silence Within) anthology and his poetry has been featured in Anthologies including GYPSY literary Journal, El Paso, Texas.
Considered both a writer and a musician, his first etchings and Aquatints were completed as early as 1970 under the master etcher J. Corlett.
'While I've painted and etching for well over 35 years I still take 'life drawing' and design class's in art is 'fineart' is a constantly evolving endeavor.' MusicSureal is edgy, foreboding and often macabre like my art. It is often gothic, celtic and sureal all at the same time . . . MusicSureal began only as a pasttime to painting and I was looking for more immediate forms of expression as opposed to Breton's 'Lamentable expedients' of painting. I use OIL Painting for its luscious transparencies and richness of depth of color. The 'common' man might find my own art too haunting, too frightening or too oneirically macabre for 'living room' and parlor tastes.
