Sacred geometry is the art concept behind incredible visual structures in the living and non-living world.
The world is a confusing and turbulent place, but we make sense of it by finding order. We notice the regular cycles of day and night, the waxing and waning of the moon and tides, and the recurrence of the seasons. We look for similarities, we try to break down the complexity of nature into simple rules, to find order in things that might look like chaos.
Fractals are infinitely self-similar cyclical mathematical constructions with fractal dimensions, however, infinite repeatability is impossible, therefore all fractal patterns are only approximations. For example, the leaves of ferns are self-similar up to the second, third or fourth level. Fern-like self-similarity patterns are also found in many other plants and animals, such as broccoli, romanesco cabbage, tree crowns and leaves, pineapples, corals, hydroids, starfish and sea urchins. Also, fractal patterns take place in the structure of the human's body such as vessels and bronchi.
When you start looking into the subject you can see patterns everywhere: in the clouds, waves, dunes, cliffs and all of them are different.
This series of arts derives from the observation and experience of nature-inspired elements are applied by architects and designers in their works.

Биография
Арина Апостолова — современная украинская художница, чей творческий путь начался после окончания архитектурной академии в 2007 году. Во время учебы она приобрела навыки академического рисунка и основных техник живописи, получив прочную основу в теории цвета, перспективы и композиции.
Профессиональная художественная карьера Арины началась сравнительно недавно с масштабного проекта «Сакральная геометрия», который был успешно представлен студией UNION-architect в Шанхае в апреле 2021 года. Ее работа в основном заключается в исследовании акриловых цветов на холстах разных размеров. Она называет свой стиль «Композитным реализмом», жанром, который сочетает в себе интенсивный реализм с абстрактными узорами, сюрреалистическими сновидческими сценами и символическими образами. Такой подход позволяет ей сплетать воедино сложные концепции, такие как философия, глубины разума, теории творения и научные поиски, в более доступной форме.
С конца 2021 года Арина расширила свою художественную практику, включив в нее современный мурализм, создавая публичное искусство, которое интегрируется с общественными пространствами и средами. Она участвовала как в персональных, так и в групповых выставках в Китае, где ее работы находятся в частных коллекциях.
