-De pauw en het parelhoen leven in het echt in een vogelasiel (De naam van het centrum is 'Akka's Ganzenparadijs'. Ze doen ontzettend goed werk)
-De achtergrond is ongeveer 1 km van mijn huis geschoten terwijl ik de honden uitliet
-Ik stelde me aalscholver voor terwijl ik op de terugweg was van een nogal saaie foto-opdracht

Surreal animal art by visual artist Anneke Bloema
I started my career as a photographer. In 2001 I founded my own company The Factory II. I am still active as a photographer. I mainly do reports.
Over time, I started to create more and more graphic designs, such as collages. After I won a major prize for my illustrations, I was very encouraged to keep going. And that's what I did. These days I spend a lot of time creating my surreal collages under the name Wondrous Goose. With a very large photo archive of my own, I can create my narrative animal artworks mainly with my own photos. I love to work on and disappear a bit into the fairytale worlds that I create myself.
I notice that everyone who sees my work starts thinking up stories, just like me. And everyone makes up their own story. It is very nice to exchange thoughts, or rather stories, with the people who view and buy my work.
My collages are printed in limited edition on Hahnemühle fine art paper. I am stunned every time by the sparkling colors that the giclee art prints have. I also publish my work on postcards.
