Anna C

Anna C paints primarily with free-flowing watercolour technique on small format paper occasionally using ink, graphite or charcoal to hightlight her art. She spent several years studying Antique, Oriental and Medieval Art, Contemporary Art and Architecture as well as Film studies and Literature. She has also travelled extensively and let her travels enrich the artistic vocabulary.  Her sources of inspiration remain many, among others Greek pottery, Dutch landscape painting and superrealism. She focuses in her work to capture the deeper meaning of colour and form and to allow them to resonate with the viewer. The texture of the paper shines often through the layers of colour in order to capture the spontaneious and the fortuitous in watercolour techniques. Anna's choice of subject varies from landscape to science fiction to floral to architecture, depending on what inspires her at the moment.
