Boudicca war die keltische Königin der Icener, die im 1. Jahrhundert n. Chr. die Bewohner der britischen Insel zum Aufstand rief und fast in die Freiheit geführt hätte. Leider verlor sie den Kampf, und damit kam's endgültig zum Untergang der Kelten in Britannien.

During her time as a graphic designer, Anja Semling already worked a lot with visualizations in the field of "applied art". Her passion for painting was always latent and so she actively began to paint in 2012. She initially painted in a classical style and refined the techniques. Over time, she changed her perspective and began experimenting with materials and other techniques. Her focus is thematically on motifs that show living beings: People or animals. She also focuses on abstract painting, which fascinates her in particular as a graphic artist because of its forms and structures. What Anja Semling's paintings have in common is that they are expressive. The pictures fascinate with their liveliness and quality of execution. As an up-and-coming artist, she already has many fans.
Anja Semling was born in southern Germany in Freiburg im Breisgau in 1966 and has lived in Breisach am Rhein, on the German-French border, since 2010.
