Angel Rengell, born in 1969 in Seville, Spain, is a multi-talented artist: sculptor, painter and designer. Currently based in London, UK, he is recognized for his innovative approach to portraiture and sculpture.
From a very young age, Angel Rengell has had a passion for art. Of German and Italian origin on his father's side, he began drawing at the age of six. His first drawings appeared on the pages of his school books, which he used as a backdrop for his creations. At thirteen, he made his first sculptures and, at fifteen, he enrolled at the School of Applied Arts and Artistic Professions in Seville, before continuing his studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts Santa Isabel de Hungría at the University of Seville. At eighteen, he was already a professional sculptor with his own workshop.
His work is distinguished by a figurative and abstract approach, exploring varied themes ranging from the nude to high-quality religious creations. His artistic practice is marked by the use of mixed techniques, combining text and volumes, and by a constant search for new forms of expression.
In 2000, Angel celebrated his marriage with the painter and sculptor Luccia Lignan, with whom he shared a passion for art.
Since 1995 he has exhibited in prestigious galleries and spaces in Seville, Madrid, Jerez, Barcelona, Miami, Geneva, and Caracas. His latest exhibitions include the Zero Arts Gallery in Stuttgart, Form London, and the Festival of Drawing in London. His works will soon be presented in New York, London, and Moscow.
Angel Rengell continues to explore new artistic dimensions, asserting his presence on the international scene with a work that transcends the boundaries of classical and contemporary.
