Ángel Miguel León Valiente is a contemporary Cuban artist based in Spain. We may infer from his work the honesty with which he approaches the creative process: his images address feelings and introspective thoughts that strive to a poetic quality for the delicate and intimate relationship with the observer.

Regarding the aforementioned preference for graphic expression, the main techniques used in his work are drawing and oil painting on canvas, typically in big formats. He always works in the figurative universe, using timeless scenes and components that are frequently connected metaphorically. Metaphysical painting, surrealism, and hyper-realistic painting are references that can be associated with its visuality.

A discourse of the artist's confrontation with the outside world can be seen in his introspective, psychedelic universe, where he exposes matters regarding to the family, the couple, his people, his conception of himself as a subject, and his political concerns as factors that they affect the greatest expression of being: its freedom. In fact, the artist expresses and communicates his uniqueness in a work in which he can emotionally and intellectually connect with the viewer.

Ángel Miguel León Valiente was born in 1990, in Havana, Cuba, where he graduated from the Fine Arts Academy “Eduardo Abela”. He exhibited his works in the USA, Netherlands, Germany, Cuba, Mexico and Denmark.
