This painting, oil on linen canvas, depicts a cafe scene in Paris. Les Deux Magots is one of the most famous cafes located in the quarters of Saint-Germain-Des-Pres. It once had a reputation as the rendezvous of the literary and intellectual lite of the city. It is now a popular tourist destination.
There is a lot happening in this scene: 3 couples are prominent, as well as the waiter and a woman cutting the cake with a fork. From left to right, there is an old guy reading the newspaper with a bored blond. A woman with glasses is cutting a piece of cake, also reading the paper. The waiter is taking another couple's order with a guy squinting and deciding what he wants to order. There is the couple on the right with the talkative guy in red, while his girlfriend is checking her phone. In the background various people are doing what we all do in a cafe, trying to enjoy a drink or something and soaking the atmosphere. The inside of the cafe is quite dark by contrast, but here and there, the lights are on.

I come from Paris in France. I developed an admiration for discipline and creativity at an early age from my father’s love of his work and his motivation to nurture my surroundings that helped shape my ideas of beauty, happiness, and hard work. I entered Ecole Des Beaux-Arts-Decoratifs de Paris to study Fine Art at age 17 which successfully led to a professional career in Los Angeles as a freelance artist for a number of years. I then continued my study on Fine Art and Classical Representational Painting which I have loved ever since. I now live in Vermont where I continue to paint for my art collectors. And I have started a line of more impressionistic paintings such as landscapes, as well.

I love to paint and I am is an accomplished artist. I create colors that give my canvas a sense of vibrancy. I love using bold brushstrokes that show in the completed artwork. To create my paintings, I use oil paints I grind myself and make my own Maroger mediums such as the Titian formula with wax and the Rubens formula with mastic varnish.
I use realism for my spiritual paintings, to show the incredible world of Krishna, Ram, and Vishnu in fantastical settings such as the birth of the cosmos or Brahma meditating on a Lotus. My impressionistic style landscapes and figures often express romanticism and a longing for intimacy.
I have traveled and lived in India, Canada, France, and the USA, painting all the while. I've been deeply influenced by my travels and by Hindu mythology and spirituality, and have taken my classical training from Atelier Beaudry and the Ecole Des Beaux-Arts-Decoratifs de Paris and applied it to my world of art. Just like me, my paintings can be found in many countries throughout the world. It is important for me to find homes for all of my creations. I have originals and prints in twenty-seven states of the United States, Canada, Germany, Russia, England, Switzerland, India, and Australia. I've illustrated a children's book titled “Master of All Mystics”, and I have been published through Bhaktivedanta Book Trust, Gosai Publishers, and Mandala Media. I have also done a lot of commissioned paintings such as portraits and figures painting, and I still provide excellent commissioned paintings for those who need something special.
