Aleksandr Kusenko, a contemporary Ukrainian painter, stands as a distinguished member of the National Artistic Union of Artists and the Eurasian Art Union. His artistic journey began at the Dnepropetrovsk State Art School from 1978 to 1982, where he specialized in the painting and pedagogical department, focusing on becoming a teacher of drawing and painting (DTKhK). Furthering his education, he graduated from Kharkov Art and Industrial Institute (KhPI) between 1985-1990, earning a qualification as an artist of decorative arts.
Since 1991, Aleksandr has contributed significantly to the field, working as a teacher of special disciplines, including drawing, painting, and composition. His passion for education extended to a 16-year tenure as a teacher at Children's Art School No. 2 in Dnepropetrovsk. Throughout his career, Aleksandr Kusenko has actively participated in international, All-Ukrainian, republican, regional, city, and personal exhibitions.
In 2007, a catalog titled "Graphics, Painting by A. Kusenko" was published, showcasing his artistic prowess. His works are prominently displayed in galleries and private collections across Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Germany, Spain, and the USA. The artist has garnered recognition in various international competitions, earning accolades such as the 2nd place and a personal hall in the international "Seasons" competition in 2017. He also participated in prestigious events like the Venice International 58th Biennale and the international competition "Art Week in Israel."
Noteworthy achievements include the 3rd place in the international competition "His Majesty Landscape 2019" in Kyiv and the 2nd place in the international competition "Comprehensive Collection 2020" in Kyiv. In 2021, Aleksandr secured several awards, including the 1st and 3rd places in the international competition "Art Seasons Spring 2021" in Moscow and the 2nd place in the international competition "St. Petersburg Art Week 2021." The artist's accomplishments extend into 2022 and 2023, marked by Award Certificates from "People and Paintings" in New York. He continues to receive acclaim, further solidifying his place in the global art community.
