Alexander Oligerov is a contemporary Armenian painter born in 1965 in Kazakhstan. Since 2007, he has been a member of the Paris Union of Artists "Les Seize Anges." Throughout his career, Oligerov has garnered numerous awards, including the first prize at the competition of Russian artists in Italy "Made in Russia" in 2011, and the Gold Medal of the Russian Union of Artists in 2018.
In 2016, Oligerov achieved significant recognition at the largest international arts competition in Asia, "Art Revolution Taipei," where he won both the Grand Prize and the Prize of the Chairman of the Jury. Prior to this, he had received several accolades, including the first prize at the "Master-class" festival in St. Petersburg in 2004, and the silver medal of the Russian State Academy of Art in 2006.
His artworks are housed in prestigious collections, including those of the Moscow State Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of Nonconformist Art at Art-center "Pushkinskaya 10" in St. Petersburg, and various state regional museums of art across Russia. Notably, Oligerov's works are also found in the private collection of Mr. Li Gil Han, vice-president of the corporation "Samsung," who possesses over 42 of his paintings.
Oligerov has held solo exhibitions in prominent cities worldwide, including Moscow, Paris, Beijing, St. Petersburg, and Taipei, among others. His art has been praised for its genuine expression and unwavering commitment to oil painting, as noted by Marina Koldobskaya in "The New World of Art" journal.
