Biography
Alex Klas Academician of Arts and Master of Arts.
He is a contemporary Californian expressionist artist.
Over the years, he has developed his own method, and has students and followers. Alex is a multiple winner of international awards. He is actively involved in public activities. He is a member of creative unions in the USA, France, Germany, and Ukraine. He is the chairman of the jury of several international art awards and medals. His art is constantly published in different countries.
The religious-historical series of Alex's art works is very important for him and highly appreciated at the international level. These art works are in public collections in some countries.
His painted landscapes series include "Rainy Season in San Francisco", "There on the Other Shore", etc.
Still life also take an important role in his art. These are several long-term series of paintings: "My Dunhill Collection", "Aroma of Still Life", "Vintage".
Among the arts, he made monumental paintings, mosaics, stained glass, glass engravings, painting on ceramics, wood carving, volumetric engravings on silver.
Alex's main art way is easel painting.

The Aroma of Still Life: 50 Years of Exhibition Experience, an international online solo oil painting exhibition by Alex Klas officially opens on March 1, and continues for two months until May 1, 2025.
Sunflowers blaze like golden flames, their petals curling with life, their centers rich with depth and mystery. The aroma of ripe peaches, the warmth of apricots spilling onto a table, the rustic elegance of a porcelain vase—these elements breathe a sensory experience into Alex Klas' latest solo exhibition, The Aroma of Still Life. Through an expressive symphony of color, texture, and movement, Klas redefines still life, turning it into a dance of light and emotion.
Drawing from the traditions of the great impressionists yet infused with his signature expressionist energy, Klas captures the essence of life’s fleeting beauty. His oil paintings pulse with an almost tangible vibrancy—the thick impasto strokes bring dimension to sunflowers that seem to sway with an unseen breeze, while his interplay of warm and cool tones creates a striking visual harmony.
