I am a self taught artist living and working in southwest France.

Landscapes are all around me, and much of my work to date has used them as my basis for painting. I exhibit locally as well as receive visitors to my small studio.

Current plans for 2023 and beyond are to 'park' my landscape work as I return to one of my overarching interests and the source of many works in soft pastel (executed beforeI moved into paint) and which can be broadly summed up as "primitive cultures" (I use the word cautiously). I will soon begin work on a new project based on a series of ongoing visits to prehistory sites in France and my growing fascintation with the ancient craftspeople who carved, hammered and painted their way into history.
