Photo is taken with a Zeiss Ikon manufactured in the fifties and scanned at 4800 dpi. The picture is more than 9.000 pixels by 9.000 pixels i.e 80 million pixels. This quality of image makes possible enlargements of one meter by one meter.

After having been a professional photographer, in scientific photography, particularly in oceanographic biology, archeology, in Iran and Israel, for the CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research) and in sports photography, Alain Rempfer entirely devoted to his personal work. Over time he has endeavored to deal with different themes, sometimes for several years for some of them. Among these themes: Art lovers, Illuminated villages, Alleys, Mirrors and reflections, Fishermen, Circles, Frames, Recomposed past, Riviera revisited.
Alain Rempfer lives and works in France. He obtained a diploma in Photography and a Masters in Philosophy at Paul Valery University in Montpellier (France). His work is present in many private collections.
