Born in 1956, Alain FROMONT lives in the North of France.

Very early attracted by art, he started drawing and painting in the 70 s. His painting is known as "geometrical", it is impressed of balance, lightness and movement through the point of view of the matter as the one of the subject in the whide. His painting, in many layers of more or less important thicknesses, is simply applied on the fabric, with a brush ' movement done at the same time without crushing it, inorder to give this impression of movement and lightness. Moreover, this aims to maintain its aspect when it leaves the tube. The limits of each zone are established during a study before starting to paint. The study is always done on paper.

At the end of the 90s, Christine Colas met in Paris, was very interested in his work. So, she decided to show his painting in her gallery.

The first exposure, in Paris, in the "Marais", from october the 20 th to november the 15 th, 2003, is published on the website of Christine Colas ' Gallery. At the end of 2003 and the biginning of 2004, he took part to " the small sizes " ( landscape- dead natures - contemporary painting )in the Annie Wable's gallery lille, 03.20.57.27.69, and 17 street Felix Adam in Boulogne on sea , 03.21.30.50.30. Many of his are viewable at the contemporary space of Béthune.

He currently works on his next exposure.
