A.K.A. AGUS

I was born in Sumatra, Indonesia, on August 18, 1981. From early age I develop an affinity towards the creation of art. After living and traveling throughout Indonesia for several years, I decided to make the town of Ubud, Bali, the base for my life and work.

As a self-taught artist, I learn through experimentation with different styles, techniques and materials. My artistic concept is to create beautiful images by utilizing the experiences from my daily life and spiritual exploration.
I love to mix newspaper articles in my painting, which gives strong meaning enhanced by the painting itself.
Agus, a Zen adept, rides his vespa and teaches painting in his little home right in a middle of a luxurious flora.
