My art reflects the grit of the urban street scene in subject matter, materials and live performances. Most of my work is on recycled materials such as wood supports or drywall. I paint outside of the lines by design. Some brush strokes appear unfinished by design. The edges of my paintings are rough, rugged and raw by design. My work is NOT designed to be framed! It should remain in as close to its original environment as possible. Many of the holes, nails and original markings remain. They are sacred to the work. Produced in my Abstract 10 studio in Southern California, I have created artwork with styles reflecting Abstract Surrealism, Abstract Minimalism, and Abstract Expressionism.
Abstract 10 Originals. was founded in 2000 by abstract painter Jason Jenkins. Jenkins has developed a model that is designed to succeed by offering high quality original paintings in a variety of distribution outlets.
