Geboren am 20.10.1951 im ostwestfälischen Isenstedt (jetzt Espelkamp). Bis 1990 Banker, Künstler und Schriftsteller. Ab 1991 bis 2000 Unternehmensberater, Künstler und Schriftsteller. Ab 2001 bis 2017 Künstler, Schriftsteller, Dozent für Literatur und Kunst (2008), Radio-Moderator für Literatur (2007 - 2013), Kellner und Koch. Ab 2018 ausschließlich Künstler und Schriftsteller. Mitglied im Verband deutscher Schriftstellerinnen und Schriftsteller in Münster und im Bundesverband Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler in Bielefeld.
Bisher wurden 22 Bücher von ihm als Autor durch verschiedene Verlage verlegt, z. T. mit Zeichnungen und Texten in Lyrik und Prosa. Pollheide beschäftigt sich seit mehr als 30 Jahren mit dem Studium der indianischen Mythologie und des Bewusstseins und lebte von 2003 bis 2021 überwiegend in Spanien (Andalusien), heute in Lübbecke.
Künstlerisch arbeite er zurzeit an neuen Malerei- und Zeichenserien ("Neue innere Ästhetik" / "Schöne verwundete Welt" und "Kaum gedacht, bist du entsprungen."), sofern ihn nicht die Aktualität des Lebens zu spontanen Werken hinreißt. Pollheide gilt auch als "Erfinder" der Sprechbilder, seines Experiments der Zusammenführung von eigener Sprache und eigenem Bild auf einem Medium.
Die Gesamtzahl aller Werke, ohne die der Bucheditionen, liegt Stand heute bei 5.246 Arbeiten. Die nicht verkauften Werke befinden sich mit 3.710 Werken beim Künstler in Lübbecke, 371 Werke befindet sich im Literaturarchiv des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen in Münster, mit dem ein Übernahmevertrag besteht. Gesamtzahl der Verkäufe 1.165 Werke.
Pollheide ist ein entschiedener Gegner des Neoliberalismus und der neoliberalen Globalisierung und steht für eine solidarische Welt- und Wertegemeinschaft im Frieden mit der Gesamtschöpfung. Globalisierung JA - aber unter Einbeziehung der Menschen und deren Bedürfnisse. Er liebt die Vielfalt, die Meere, den Frieden, das Große Ganze, das Glück und die Liebe.
