Many of the canvases that I work on are hand stretched by me. I then apply 3 coats of gesso, let that dry, then sanding it down before I start work on the actual painting. I also do purchase gallery style canvases for some of the artworks as well. For paints I usually will use a combination of acrylic and oil, or one or the other. I work with Winsor and Newton oil paints, Academy Acrylic paints and also Georgian oil paints as well. I have had great success with these paints for my artwork, standing the test of time and color.
