Igor Moniava

Igor Givievich Moniava was born in Batumi in 1952. Since 1953 he has been living in Moscow.

Graduated from the Moscow Engineering and Construction Institute. Worked as a designer for 7 years. In 1980, he became a night watchman and took up painting on his own.

Since 1984, he began to exhibit at Malaya Gruzinskaya. Since 1986, he has joined the Group 21 there.

Participant of many exhibitions in Moscow and abroad. Including:

1. Denmark, Copenhagen----1988
2. Argentina, Buenos Aires ----- 1989
3. France, Versailles Auction --- 1989, bought 5 works.
4. Sweden, Stockholm ----- 1990
5. Finland, Museum of Contemporary Art in Tampere ---- 1990

8. Moscow, Central House of Artists, STEBART ----- 1994
9. Moscow. gallery Yunona, PRO AND CONTRA.

His works are kept in private collections in Russia and abroad.
