Van G

Born in Brussels, Belgium. Interested in plastic arts from an early age, I decided in 1998 to turn in her briefcase for a palette to become a full time painter, her true passion. From living abroad, I kept from Brazil a sense for sharp and vivid colors while preserving their harmony.
My paintings are a travel that takes you from one world to the other.

The work of the artist painter Van G., a painting of figurative impression, is known for it’s vivid and bold colors, and textures effects that privileges the power of the essential over the detail. From a concrete reality only emerges on the canvas the essence, the atmosphere.
The strokes are alert and the spatula flattens the effects focusing on some details to blur others. The vibrant and bold colors return to the subject its warm character.
From numerous travels around the world she developed an interest for foreign cultures that influence most of her work. From living abroad she kept from Brazil a sense for sharp and vivid colors while preserving their harmony.
