Born June 22 (July 5), 1910 in the city of Lugansk. Husband of L. Grigorieva-Steletskaya, father of Galina Grigorieva and Maya Grigorieva, grandfather of I. Grigorieva and A. Gutsu. Graduated from: Zaporozhye art vocational school (1926), Higher Art and Technical Workshops (Vkhutemas) in Moscow (1926-1927), Kiev Art Institute (1932).

Painter, graphic artist. Worked in the field of easel painting. Creativity is marked by the influence of Impressionism. In genre paintings he showed himself as a representative of realism, although he suffered the pressure of socialist realism dogmas. Dramatic and psychological motifs dominate in his works. Member of the CPSU. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Awarded two Orders of the Red Banner of Labor, the Order of the Badge of Honor, a medal.

Works are kept in the National Art Museum, State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), in the Zaporozhye Museum of Local Lore, in the National Art Gallery of Bulgaria, in the Gallery Gekosso (Japan). He lived and worked in Kiev, died March 9, 1988. Died February 9, 1988.
