据博宝艺术网的专家介绍，张东林出生于1968年，现为中国美术家协会会员、中国画院画师、国家一级美术师。他先后就读于河南大学、北京画院、中国美协山水创作中心等，现定居北京，从事中国画的研究和创作，他曾多次参加国内外美展，是2007年中国百家金陵画展的金奖获得者。
