Bogdan Tolbariu, né en 1984 (Roumanie), est un artiste plasticien formé en art figuratif à l'Université Nationale d'Art de Bucarest. Il est titulaire d'un Master en Arts Visuels dont il possède une expérience variée - comme sculpteur collaborant à plusieurs projets de scénographie, il a été assistant universitaire et professeur d'éducation plastique dans un collège spécialisé, et, au cours des huit dernières années, il a réalisé des concepts pour diversstudios de jeux vidéo.Intéressé par la sculpture et la peinture, il questionne le dialogue entre la fidélité à la nature et l'ineffable dans l'art à travers diverses études et explorations de modèles vivants. Bien quesoutenue par l'observation directe de modèles ou de références, sa méthode artistique ne vise pas fondamentalement à simuler la réalité mais plutôt à explorer une expression vivante qui permet néanmoins une expérience esthétique significative pour le spectateur contemporain. Fidèle à l'investigation créative de l'anatomie humaine en tant que ressource perpétuelle et fluide de symboles et de révélations, Tolbariu considère ses études artistiques comme une voie alternative pour capturer un un nouvel aspect, peut-être inattendu, de l'humain en redéfinissant constamment les compétences et la tradition, tout en explorant des histoires personnelles et en remettant en question la frontière fragile entre la conscience et la tradition et des les vérités inconscientes.
