Maxime ROUAULT est né d’un père photographe et d’une mère mosaïste à Maison-Laffitte dans les Yvelines (78) en 1987.C’est à 27 ans qu’il découvre l’exposition de Nikki de Saint-Phale au Grand Palais à Paris, ce qui le transcendera et lui donnera l’envie de dessiner dès le lendemain.Deux ans plus tard, et à la suite d’une opportunité professionnelle, il traverse l’Atlantique et atterrit à Saint-Barth où il rejoint le collectif Artist of Saint-Barth avec notamment Antoine HECKLY, qui devient un mentor pour lui.C’est au même endroit qu’il commence à réaliser des live painting sur des fresques en soirées Jet Set à Nikki Beach et à exposer dans les Hôtels 5* de l’île (le Christopher et le Cheval Blanc).À la suite d’une autre opportunité professionnelle, il traverse le Pacifique pour rejoindre Tetiaroa, l’atoll sur lequel est construit l’hôtel de Marlon Brando : The Brando. C’est dans cet hôtel qu’il a le privilège de rencontrer Obama, qui était là comme client, et l’opportunité de lui offrir un tableau.
En 2022, Maxime ROUAULT signe son premier contrat avec une galerie d'art de Nouméa (Nouvelle-Calédonie), Art'Factory. Il réalise en Février sa première exposition où plupart de ses oeuvres sont exposées, et qui bénéficiera d'une excellente couverture dans les médias locaux (reportages télévisés, interviews radio, etc.).
En Mai, il se rend de nouveau à Tahiti pour participer à une exposition organisée sur le bateau de croisière Le Paul Gauguin à l'occasion du Blue Climate Summit. Cet événement de renommée mondiale, organisé par l’association Tetiaroa Society, a pour but d'accélérer la recherche de solutions au changement climatique liées aux océans.Il exposera à bord du Paul Gauguin pendant la durée du sommet et offrira une de ses fresques, intitulée "Caledonian Dream", à l’association Tetiaroa Society sur l’atoll de Marlon Brando.En 2023, il participe avec sa fresque « Neotokyo » en février au Salon des Artistes Français au Grand Palais Ephémère (Paris) où il remporte la mention du jury grâce à sa fresque « Neotokyo », puis en novembre à l’exposition temporaire « Un instant figé dans le temps » organisée par l’association Sino-française d’échange d’Art à la galerie BARLIER (Paris 8ème) où il remporte le prix d’or de la part du critique d’art Yves KOBRY.
