Raymond Actis-Datta

Raymond attended the School of Fine Arts and Decorative Arts in Interior Architecture in the city of Geneva.

His training allowed him to work as a designer at Otto Glaus in Zurich. Otto Glaus, a well-known urban planner, worked in Paris with Le Corbusier. Raymond attended the Lausanne Hotel School. A graduate in Hotel and Financial Management, he held the position of director in two large hotels on the Vaud Riviera, in Lausanne and Montreux. He exhibited his oils in Sion, Montreux, Geneva and Annecy.

In 2011 he arrived in Béarn and set up his studio in Bénéjacq. He exhibits at the Casino de Pau, organized by the Chamber of Trades, in Léon in the Landes and at the Casino de Biarritz, organized by Arts Shopping.

Brought to respond to requests from individuals, he paints frescoes, creates custom-made bookcases in metal, wood and glass, storage furniture, brushed aluminum consoles with laser-cut patterns, coffee tables in iron and fused glass, nesting tables. He also creates plaster objects, molded and cast in porcelain or bronze.

Along his path, the encounters, his curiosity, the varied requests of people who become customers always lead him towards materials, shapes and colors, to make new creations with the appropriate techniques.
