The island of Madeira has the hilliest landscape I have ever visited. Searching for viewpoints can be a challenge but find the right spot and, of course, the right light, and the island excels itself. Explore the back roads and hidden valleys and vistas emerge and make quite spectacular subjects.
This Limited Edition artwork is produced as a high quality Giclee print on stretched deep edge matte canvas. The use of canvas gives the picture a distinctive appearance and a noticeable painterly quality. The artwork will be signed on the front and signed and numbered on the reverse and supplied with a signed and dated certificate of authenticity.
This artwork is based on an original photograph I captured using film in a large format plate camera. The photograph was used as my raw material which, through several stages of careful adjustment, gradually evolved into an enhanced version of the original image.
I pride myself on producing original works of distinction which attract attention and invite emotional response when exhibited. I strive for perfection which I hope will be noticeable when viewing my work. I also hope it will be apparent to you why my pictures are often mistaken for paintings, particularly when printed on canvas.
