Paolo Fumagalli was born in Sassari in 1960. Currently he lives in Florence. He began painting self-thaught and he continued his training attending the studies of great masters. He began to exhibit in 1981, at the age of twenty.

His painting is strong but at the same time essential. His colour palette is warm and bright, from which Fumagalli gets reflections and lights, shadows and spaces, movement and life. The graphic immediacy gives constructive and chromatic force that translates into a penetrating expressive power. That testifies how the artist depicts on the canvas what he has previously painted on the blackboard of his soul. His painting demonstrate how many feelings, surges, escapes, leaps the brush can make before defining a work.
