Peintre autodidacte, j' ai exposé depuis une vingtaine d'années de façon épisodique et selon mes disponibilités professionnelles et familiales, à Paris puis longtemps en Provence et en Dordogne où j'ai vécu avant mon retour aux sources en terre Auvergnate.
Mon parcours professionnel m'ayant fait voyagé aux quatre coins du monde, c'est au cours de mes nombreux périples (Asie, Amérique du Sud, Afrique, Europe ) que j'ai trouvé ma principale source d'inspiration, aidée par mes carnets de dessin et mes nombreux clichés de portraits pris sur le vif au cours de rencontres inattendues et parfois si émouvantes.
Mon travail s'est organisé principalement sur des portraits ethniques de femmes. Ils m'ont permis de mettre en avant la persistance de leur identité revendiquée, et de transcoder par les couleurs et les pinceaux leur force de caractère et leur authenticité tout en soulignant leur beauté et leur fragilité.
Autodidacte, je me suis naturellement tournée vers l'acrylique pour sa simplicité d'utilisation et sa diversité puis au fil du temps j'ai peaufiné les nuances, accentué les couleurs et les contrastes par l'utilisation de techniques mixtes : huile, pastel gras, pigments, parfois application de feuilles d'or sur toile ou papier marouflé.
