Denis Bi Assira is een veelzijdig kunstenaar. De vlakke oppervlakken van het materiaal suggereren het gebaar van de schilder in zijn werken met geometrische en gebogen vormen.
Aanvankelijk lijken de horizonlijnen getekend door volumes die woestijnlandschappen, natte kusten, hoogvlaktes oproepen. De sferen komen overeen, maar zijn niet identiek. De kunstenaar probeert het intieme discours over te brengen dat hij innerlijk voelt als hij in zijn atelier schildert, oog in oog met verf. De resulterende figuratieve abstractie roept een poëtische geografie op van onbekende landen die gelijk zijn aan de natuur alleen.
Denis Bi-Assira is een Fransman van Algerijnse afkomst. Momenteel woont en werkt hij in Vichy (Frankrijk). Zijn werken zijn aanwezig in vele privécollecties.
