Natalia Berezina graduated from the AVA Academy of Visual Arts in Ljubljana, where she is currently pursuing her master's degree. She works as a freelance illustrator, illustrating and designing children's books, textbooks, as well as websites and applications. In addition, she is engaged in painting (acrylic on canvas).
Natalia is a participant in group and solo exhibitions at home and abroad and a member of the Association of Visual Artists in Ljubljana (DLUL).
The main theme of Natalia's paintings is fairy-tale creatures, magical backgrounds and blue surroundings. Some paintings are highly detailed while others show the value of a surface with a rough background. Dark blue colors add a touch of depression and desolation, while gold details bring bright moments of hope.

At the University of Nova Gorica in the Lanthieri manor, we are hosting an exhibition of art works created in the 29th international art colony Artists for Caritas / Diocesan Caritas Koper in August on Sinji vrh above Ajdovščina under the title "Peace in this house".Donations for works of art will be used to help children displaced by the war.The exhibition will be on view from 10 to 26 November 2023 in the lobby of the Lanthieri mansion (Glavni trg 8, Vipava). Once upon a time there was…Once upon a time... This is how all fairy tales and old stories usually begin. Once upon a time, a few years ago, a new story began. A dark story that changed our lives, our habits and the whole world. We used to say that the world will never be the same again. Something new, something so small we can't see it, has invaded our convenient world and shattered it, taking millions of lives. A time of confusion, panic and fear has gradually been replaced by a time of closure, depression and hopelessness. Closed in our homes and isolated from other people, from friends and relatives, from the whole world, we tried to build a new safe and peaceful life.The beginning of this painting collection was created in isolation during the corona time. And even though that time has already passed, some imprint of loneliness and depression remains. Not everyone easily forgets this time of the eclipse. For someone, this dark story consciously changed their life.
