Nastya Prairie is a contemporary artist from Russia. Her works are held in private collections in London, Berlin, India, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
Nastya is studying academic painting and drawing under graduates of the Ilya Repin Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg while continuously refining her skills. She explores various artistic techniques under mentors from Russia, Europe, and America, striving not just to master her craft but to develop a distinctive artistic voice.
For her, painting is more than a profession—it is a way of understanding the world and capturing its depth, beauty, and energy. Her works are alive, filled with emotion and inner light. They do not merely depict but breathe, speak, and leave a lasting impression on the viewer.
Nastya has been painting since 2012, and oil has become her true medium of expression. In 2022, she became a laureate of the international exhibition-competition St. Petersburg Art Week:
— 1st place in the "Folk Motifs" category with her painting "Saint Frida. Unbroken."
— 2nd place in the "Esotericism" category with her painting "The Dark Side of the Moon", which was later sold.
Her Frida Kahlo portrait was also exhibited at the "Talents of Russia" exhibition and displayed in the New Tretyakov Gallery.
At the core of her art lies freedom, strength, and self-discovery. Nastya's work delves into the depths of the human soul, moments of silence and inner harmony, the search for identity and truth. Her paintings are an encounter with the raw and authentic—something that stirs emotions and never leaves the viewer indifferent.
People are the central theme of her art. With a background in ethnography, she has always been deeply inspired by human nature—their characters, emotions, and stories. Her paintings go beyond mere representation; they explore personality, the connection between individuals and the world, nature, and culture.
Travel, new encounters, and cultural diversity are also key sources of inspiration. Nastya seeks to capture not just outward beauty but the inner radiance of a person—their secrets, dreams, strength, and vulnerability.
