Inspiration: Inspiration came from the inner struggle we all face in times of stress or triumph. That fantasy figure can represent an emotional charge, an inner voice or even a symbol of your desires and fears. I wanted to explore how the human mind can project ideas or emotions in ways that sometimes seem tangible.
Anecdote: I imagined what he might be feeling in that moment of deep reflection. As I worked on the details of the fanciful head, I thought about how the mind can generate almost lifelike figures in moments of extreme fatigue, a phenomenon I wanted to capture in this scene.
Conveying to others: This work is intended to convey the idea that our thoughts, emotions or worries sometimes seem to have a life of their own, even when we are seemingly at peace. The big head behind the man suggests that what we carry within us sometimes manifests itself in unexpected ways and accompanies us, visible or not, in our most vulnerable moments.
Why these materials: Soft pastel allowed for the creation of a soft atmosphere, ideal for representing the boundary between the real and the imagined. Its ability to blend colors and create diffuse shadows was key to bringing the figure behind the man to life, making him seem both present and ethereal.

Fin da bambina ero molto curiosa e creativa, attenta a ogni dettaglio della natura e della vita quotidiana che mi circondava. Queste prime esperienze hanno risvegliato il mio amore per l'arte e il mio bisogno di esprimermi attraverso di essa.
Ho iniziato molto giovane come pittrice autodidatta. I miei primi lavori erano in stile naïf, ispirati ai paesaggi e alle tradizioni rurali.
Ho studiato disegno grafico e pubblicitario a Buenos Aires, in Argentina. Nel 1985 ho frequentato diversi workshop nella città di Buenos Aires, dove ho perfezionato la tecnica di pittura con acrilico e olio. In questo periodo le mie opere si concentrano su paesaggi realistici.
In Spagna, dove ho vissuto per più di quattro anni, continuo a lavorare e a esplorare diverse tecniche.
Una volta stabilitami in Italia, dove attualmente vivo, ho iniziato a lavorare su ritratti, nudi e studi di animali. Dal 2006 ho ampliato le mie conoscenze e incorporato nuove tecniche come la sanguigna, il carboncino, la spatola, il pastello e l'acquerello, perfezionandomi nella pittura a olio con pigmenti puri.
Dal 2013 concentro la mia produzione sui ritratti realizzati con pastelli secchi, utilizzando pigmenti puri che evidenziano al massimo le luci e le ombre, una tecnica classica che è stata rivalutata negli ultimi tempi.
