Matthew Anderson is a contemporary award-winning American painter. More than 30 years he has mainly created oil abstraction and watercolor landscapes. Much like watercolor, he works in several layers in oil, sometimes translucent glazes and others thinning down the paint to flow like water. The subject is more important in terms of the connection of the landscape to abstract work. Anderson’s abstractions are references to the relationships of landscape and figure.
Matthew Anderson was born in 1967, in the USA. He lives and works in South Korea.
